Wood Is Greenest Building Material, Forest Service
Woodworking Network - Wood should be given preference where applicable for green building projects, according to the findings of a new U.S. Forest Service study. In addition, the study concluded that more emphasis should be placed on updating and revising the environmental impacts across the lifecycle of wood and alternative construction materials. The study noted that these updated lifecycle assessments should be incorporated into green building codes and standards.
